Find Fit Love Privacy and Safety Policy
Privacy & Safety
Last updated: 4th November 2025
We keep things private, simple and safe. Your profile is built from our secure questionnaire (no interviews). Before any introduction, both parties complete a quick government-grade ID verification through an accredited provider. We receive a pass/fail and a reference ID—we do not store your licence or passport images. Dossiers use your first name only, and photos are shown only with your consent. Nothing moves forward without mutual opt-in.
1) What this page covers
This page explains what we collect, why we collect it, how we protect it, and the choices you have. It applies to findfitlove.com.au and any forms we host for applications and introductions.
2) Plain-English summary (the short version)
First-name dossiers; photos by consent. We introduce you by first name and only share selected photos if you explicitly agree.
ID verified before any date. Both parties complete a quick government-grade ID check via an accredited vendor right before we schedule a date.
We store less. We keep your application details, plus the verification result + timestamp—not your ID images.
Mutual opt-in. No details are shared until both parties say “yes.”
Easy control. Ask us to update or delete your data anytime (subject to legal/audit limits).
3) What we collect
At application (free to join):
Name, email, mobile, city
Age/date of birth
Lifestyle and relationship preferences (from the questionnaire)
Optional social handles (context only; not used as identity proof)
Right before a confirmed introduction (pre-date):
Identity details required by the verification provider (e.g., name, DOB, and licence or passport details)
A one-time selfie/liveness check (captured by the provider’s secure widget)
What we do not collect/store:
We don’t store images of your ID document on our servers.
We don’t publish public profiles.
We don’t share last names, contact details, or workplaces in dossiers.
4) How ID verification works (and when)
When: After you and a potential match both opt in, we send a secure link to complete ID + selfie liveness.
Who handles it: A trusted, accredited third-party provider (our “verification vendor”).
What we receive: A pass/fail result, a verification reference ID, and a timestamp—not your document images.
If verification fails: We allow one re-attempt. If issues persist, we may offer a brief video call to sight your ID. If verification can’t be completed, we won’t proceed with the introduction.
5) Dossiers, photos & consent
First name only. Dossiers use first names and a short values/lifestyle snapshot.
Photos by consent. We only show the photos you’ve approved. You can change or revoke that permission anytime before a dossier is shared.
Mutual opt-in. We won’t exchange contact details or schedule a date unless both parties agree.
6) What we share (and with whom)
With a potential match: First name, high-level lifestyle/values notes, and approved photos—only after mutual opt-in.
With service providers: Our verification vendor (for ID checks), email/SMS tools (to deliver messages), and secure hosting. Providers are bound by contracts and must protect your data.
We do not sell your data.
7) Data minimisation, retention & deletion
Minimisation: We keep the least amount of personal data needed to operate safely.
Retention guides:
Application/profile data: kept while you remain active, then reviewed after 24 months of inactivity.
Verification result + timestamp: retained for 18 months for audit/safety purposes after your last introduction.
Deletion: Ask anytime. We’ll delete or de-identify what we’re not legally required to retain (e.g., audit logs).
Corrections: If something’s wrong or out of date, we’ll fix it promptly.
8) Security
Encrypted transmission (HTTPS) and encrypted storage for sensitive records.
Limited internal access on a “need-to-know” basis.
No ID images stored on our servers; verification images live with the accredited vendor under their retention rules.
Regular housekeeping: access reviews, minimal exports, and secure disposal.
9) International processing
Some providers may process data outside Australia. Where they do, we seek providers with strong security standards and contractual commitments. If you’d prefer we avoid a specific region, please let us know and we’ll advise options.
10) Your choices & rights
Access: Ask for a copy of your personal information we hold.
Correction: Ask us to update or correct your details.
Deletion: Ask us to delete/de-identify your record (subject to audit/legal limits).
Consent changes: Change or withdraw consent for photo sharing at any time.
Verification refusal: You can refuse ID verification, but we won’t proceed to an introduction without it.
11) Cookies & analytics (light touch)
We use lightweight analytics to understand site usage (e.g., page views, button clicks). Cookies help the site function and remember preferences. You can block cookies in your browser; key features should still work.
12) Children
Our service is for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
13) Changes to this page
We’ll update this page if our practices change. Major changes will be highlighted with a new “Last updated” date.
